Wednesday night Jam has relocated to Pearly Baker’s Alehouse (June 2007)
The Bluetone Café in Easton PA has closed in order that proprietor Joe Karam might take a well-deserved vacation, and the Wednesday night jam with Todd Wolfe & Friends has moved to Pearly Baker’s Alehouse (610-253-9949), located at 11 Centre Square (off of the Southeast quadrant of the circle at the intersection of Third St. & Northampton St.) in downtown Easton PA.
The jam runs from 9:00 to about 12:30. The genre is essentially blues and rock, but the boundaries are not strict. Backline is provided. Guitarist Todd Wolfe hosts the jam, assisted by Dave Hollingsworth on drums and Rob Fraser on bass.

New CD from Mike Dugan & the Blues Mission - "Workin in the Rust
Belt"
(October 2005)
Top Shelf
Records of San Jose, California has issued
its second release featuring Mike Dugan & the Blues Mission.
“Workin’ in the Rust Belt” is a compilation culled from three
earlier Dugan CDs – “Workin”, “Blues from the Rust Belt” and
“Holy Live Blues”.
Polished by the
remastering skills of Mike Marino, the new compilation contains
chestnuts that are still being regularly requested by the band’s
long-time fans. Now, a new generation of fans will have the
opportunity to hear the music that inspired the critics to credit
Mike Dugan with having invented a new style of blues, adding the
term “Rust Belt Blues” to the lexicon.

“College Media Journal” – 1989 (Review)
“Mike Dugan deals in blistering,
sizzling blues guitar.” “Dugan's lead licks and arrangements are
always tasteful and polished, pulled off with surprising savvy
and chops for a relative unknown.” “Dugan plays the blues with
class and style that few others can muster.” |

Mike Dugan &
the Blues Mission has a New Drummer
(August 2003)
Mark Tomlinson, the rock-solid drummer
who laid down the beat for Mike Dugan & the Blues Mission for 10
years, has left the band. Mark is a real pro and a great friend. He
is easy to get along with and a lot of fun, too. Mark will be
spending more time near his home in south-central Pennsylvania. It
is his family’s gain, and our loss. The band and all of its extended
family will miss him.
“The Shuffle King” is not only a great
drummer, he plays a pretty mean guitar, too. For quite some time
Mark has been wanting to get out from behind the drums to play
guitar, and now he is doing just that. He has formed a band with his
girlfriend, Skyla Burrell, who is a great singer. (She’s real easy
on the eyes, too.)
The Skyla Burrell Blues Band is up and running! Check them out!
Somehow, we were fortunate enough to
snag an excellent replacement for Mark. How we got this lucky, I
don’t know, but on July 4, 2003, Mr. Donald Plowman joined the Blues
Mission! Don is a wonderful person. You know the type that is so
generous and caring towards others that you worry that he doesn’t
watch out enough for himself? That’s Don.
I don’t really think that we have to
worry about Don taking care of himself, though, because he served
our country for 20 years with the United States Navy. In what
capacity, you ask? Why, as a drummer in the U.S. Navy Band, of
course! So, in essence Don went to a fine music school, and the
result is a monster of a player. Don has the capacity to expand our
music dimensionally, an exciting prospect.
Come out and meet the new guy. Although
you will find him to be a real sweet man who turns into a monster
when he sits down behind the kit, have no fear. He is not The
Incredible Hulk. The Blues Mission moves onward and upward.
